Meet Justine C. Bons, DDS, PA
Since 2001, Dr. Justine C. Bons has been providing her patients with exceptional comprehensive and cosmetic dental care. Highly educated, she obtained her undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, in May 1993. From September 1995 to August 1996, she completed her dental pre-requisites at New York University in New York City, and was then accepted into dental school at Northwestern University in Chicago. Dr. Bons earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from NUDS in April 2001.
To gain valuable dental experience, Dr. Bons completed many externships and fellowship programs. While in school, she was a Student Dentist through the Colorado Migrant Health Externship Program in Denver. Selected by faculty to participate in this federal public health externship, Dr. Bons provided dental treatments to indigent migrant farm workers and their families. After graduating from NUDS, she completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore where she worked in the Department of Otolaryngology. Dr. Bons did rotations with emphasis on oral pathology, oral surgery and the general care of medically-compromised patients. From June 2001 to July 2002, Dr. Bons was a General Practice Resident at the University of Maryland Medical Systems in the Department of Hospital Dentistry/Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She provided general dental treatments and emergency services to both healthy and medically-compromised patients. In 2002, she was also a Dental Resident at Kernan Hospital in Baltimore, where she provided dental treatments to patients with physical and mental disabilities and pediatric patients. She also gave in-patient dental consultations.
Dr. Bons feels it is important to stay on the cutting-edge of dentistry. She maintains the requirements to stay licensed to practice dentistry in the state of Florida, and she is certified by the North East Regional Board. She holds certification with CEREC 3-D technology, and she is certified in Basic Life Support and in Advanced Cardiac Life Support by the American Heart Association. Dr. Bons is also a member of many prestigious professional organizations, such as the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association and the Atlantic Coast District Dental Association.
In her spare time, Dr. Bons enjoys traveling, reading fiction and snow skiing. She also enjoys spending time with her two children and husband, Dr Brian Bons.
